Park Use Agreement

Park Use Agreements are required for non-traditional park activities occuring in Burien parks. You must apply at least 14 business days in advance of your intended usage.

You should apply for a Park Use Agreement if:

  • You are requesting to film in a Burien park.
  • You are requesting to hold a party or event in a park space other than a Seahurst Park Picnic Shelter.
  • You are requesting to bring equipment into a Burien park, including tables, chairs, tents, etc.
  • You are requesting to have an event in a Burien park that you will market to the public. 
  • You are requesting an activity or gathering that is not permitted by current regulations, park rules, or other existing permits.
  • You are requesting to have amplified sound in a Burien park. 
Process for Getting a Park Use Agreement

To ensure a successful event, please follow these instructions to obtain a Park Use Agreement:

  • Fill out the Inquiry Form more than 14 days before you would like to hold your party or event.
  • Prepare the following documents:
    • A site map
    • An electrical map (if requesting electrical at Town Square Park)

Insurance may be required. Research Commercial General Liability Insurance with additional endorsement on a separate form naming the City of Burien as additionally insured.

Certificate Holder: City of Burien, 400 SW 152nd St Suite 300 Burien, WA 98166 

Event Location: Name of the park and address

 

Fees for a Park Use Agreement

Park Use Agreement Fee: $100

Staffing Fee: $50 per hour for a minimum of two hours (may be required)

Other Fees: These costs include but are not limited to additional permits, percent of onsite sales, portable toilet, other event costs.
