Special Event Permit

We are excited that you would like to host an event in Burien! Community events are part of what makes Burien a vibrant community.

Process for Getting a Special Event Permit

To ensure a successful event, please follow these instructions for obtaining a special event permit.

  1. Fill out the special event permit application.
  2. Submit the application to the Special Events Committee at least 45 days before your event.
  3. Secure other relevant permits, such as Washington State liquor license, King County special occasion license, gambling license, etc. If you need help in determining what is needed, please email the Special Events Committee for further assistance.
