The Burien City Council held a special meeting to discuss the position established by the Office of the King County Executive, and options regarding an unsanctioned homeless encampment on a City of Burien-owned lot in downtown Burien. After lengthy public comment, the City Council discussed several options to address the encampment. No action was taken.
A lease agreement with Burien CARES to develop a dog park on the City-owned property has been signed and goes into effect June 1, 2023.
