King County Wastemobile coming to Burien this fall

The King County Wastemobile is coming to Burien this fall to provide free hazardous waste disposal services for King County residents and qualifying businesses.

Dates: September 21, 22, 23

Times: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Location: 14300 1st Ave S., Burien, Fred Meyer parking lot

For everyone's safety, please remember these tips:

  • Don't mix products.
  • Keep products in original containers when possible.
  • Label products not in original containers.
  • Secure products so they won't tip over or leak.
  • Transport similar, sealed containers upright, in cardboard boxes.
  • Secure the entire load in your vehicle or trailer. Vehicles arriving with unsecured loads at public or private transfer stations in King County can be charged an unsecured load fee.
  • Store products away from the passenger compartment of your vehicle and keep them separate from items you wish to retain.
  • Stay in your vehicle during unloading at the Wastemobile.

Other information

  • There is no fee for hazardous waste disposal. It is paid for in your utility bills.
  • For larger quantities or unusual wastes, call the Household Hazards Line, Monday through Friday, except holidays, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. at (206) 296-4692 or toll free at 1-888-869-4233.
  • Interpreters available.
