Brief Overview:  
Project to address curb access ramps at street intersections and untreated utility lid covers (no slip resistance) on sidewalks that are not compliant to current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards in the areas shown below.
Project Status: New - Project work is scheduled to begin on August 14.

Work will begin at the intersection of 3rd Avenue SW and SW 156th Street. Work also commences at Ambaum Boulevard SW and SW 153rd Street.  Curb Access Ramps at both locations are being replaced and reconfigured to meet current ADA standards.  Newer pedestrian push buttons will also be added at a later time.  This work is scheduled between August 14 and September 6.
There will be intermittent traffic disruptions at both locations throughout the day between 7 am and 5 pm.
Please consider alternate routes or plan ahead for extra travel time.

Similar type work is also slated for the Town Square area between SW 150th/SW153rd Streets and 6th Avenue SW/4th Avenue SW .  This area is tentatively scheduled to begin curb ramp/pedestrian push button work in late Fall. More information coming soon.

There will be minor project work that applies non-slip coatings over utility lids throughout the areas shown in the vicinity map above.  The area of work applies to sidewalks only and should have minimal impact to vehicle traffic.  This work will occur intermittently between August 14 and the end of this year.
